EasyMining, a subsidiary of the Swedish environmental company Ragn-Sells, has signed a letter of intent with the German utilities company Gelsenwasser AG. Under the agreement, a pilot study will be carried out with the objective to create a facility for phosphorus recovery from incinerated sewage sludge in Germany, based on EasyMining’s patented Ash2Phos technology.
Our mother-company Ragnsells was invited to talk about the need of a sustainable phosphorus management at the SDG Business Forum in the UN assembly the 17 July. Ragnells CEO Lars Lindén talked about the importance of phosphorus, how its handled today, and how Easymining’s Ash2Phos technology could be a part in solving a sustainable and circular economy of phosphorus management in the future. EasyMining and LKAB announces a collaboration project to produce strategic minerals, such as, phosphorus fertilizers and rare earth metals from LKAB’s mine waste. Both phosphorus and rare earth metals are considered by the European Union as “strategic minerals” that are of particular importance to the European industry. Read LKAB’s announcement here.
